Historical background
• Built at the turn of the century under the Austro-Hungarian Empire, this house once sheltered the keepers of the roads.
• After World War I, it became an Italian ANAS roadman’s house, painted in its iconic red.
• For decades it stood empty, forgotten, slowly merging with the surrounding landscape.
• In 2024 it was awakened and lovingly restored over two years.
Since New Year’s 2026, it has been alive again, welcoming groups of up to 10 people.
What was once infrastructure has become a retreat:
a home for friends
a temporary sanctuary
a space for connection
for conversations by the fireplace
for quiet moments with a book
for laughter and joyful gatherings
Close to nature, mindful of the land and its history, a place to truly experience.
